Our Process

<sup>Step 1</sup><br/>Embrace

Step 1

Like a first date, we’ll get to know each other. We’ll help you understand what we do as a firm, and in return we’ll get a better understanding of your current financial situation and goals for the future. We touch on a lot of information during this call. A discovery call is typically between 30 minutes and 1 hour. We ask that you come prepared to discuss the follow:

  • Income Sources (Salary, Pension, Social Security, etc.)
  • Annual Savings (Bank, College Savings, Employer Sponsored Plans)
  • Investment Accounts
  • Assets & Liabilities
  • Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Long-term Care
  • Estate Planning (Will, POA, Trust)
  • Retirement Goals
  • Life Goals
  • Education Goals
  • Risk Tolerance

Step 2

If both sides agree to move forward after your Discovery Call, we will schedule an appointment for you to meet with one of our Financial Advisors. We’ll dive deeper into your current financial situation, and evaluate your current investments, insurance, and estate planning documents. We’ll ask you to provide several pieces of information ahead of your meeting. Below is a list of the documents we’ll ask you to gather:

  • Spending/Savings Needs Worksheet
  • Prior Year Tax Return
  • Asset Statements (Including brokerage, 401k, 403b, 457, Traditional IRA, Roth IRA etc.)
  • Checking/Savings Account Balances
  • Debt Information Worksheet: (Mortgages, Loan, HELOC, Student Loans, Credit Card
  • Estate Planning Documents
  • Life Insurance policies (Including Long Term Care, Term, Permanent, & Annuities)
  • Pension Statements/Benefit Estimates
  • Social Security Benefit Statement: you can get this information by creating a log in to and printing/emailing the PDF copy. (If married both of you will need to create a log in.)

During this step, we’ll create a plan that is tailored to your specific needs and goals. We’ll guide you through the process and work closely with you to ensure a smooth transition.

Step 3

Once your plan is in place, we will actively manage your investments through regular rebalancing, portfolio reviews, and ongoing collaboration with you. Here’s an idea of what you can expect from us once you’re a client:
